Manchester United and Manchester City are both tracking Borussia Monchengladbach youngster Mahmoud Dahoud, according to reports from Bild.
The 20-year-old has developed into a regular for the Bundesliga side this season after making his debut in 2014/15, and has notched two goals, while registering four assists, in league action.
These performances have been enough to alert a host of top clubs to the Syria-born Germany U-19 international, and reports claim that Man City and Man United are both interested.
City are set to be managed by Pep Guardiola as of this summer, and the Spaniard has good knowledge of the German game with his last three years having been spent at Bayern Munich.
United are also interested, and may be able to offer Dahoud a greater chance of first-team football given their relative lack of options in the centre of midfield.
The youngster joined Gladbach as a youth player before graduating to the club’s ‘B’ team.
