The U.S. men's national team will face Costa Rica in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals next Sunday at 7 p.m. ET in Minneapolis. Mauricio Pochettino's team finished first in Group D, while finished second in Group A.
The U.S. defeated Haiti 2-1 Sunday night, while Mexico drew Costa Rica 0-0, meaning finished first in Group A. As a result, Mexico will face Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals, with half of the bracket now confirmed.
The fates of the eight teams competing across Groups B and C in the tournament will be determined Tuesday night, as Jesse Marsch's Canada and the likes of Panama and Jamaica look to book their knockout round spots.

The USMNT have won five of their last six meetings against Costa Rica, including a recent 3-0 victory under Pochettino in January camp. The ' last victory came in March 2022 when they defeated the USMNT 2-0 in World Cup Qualifying.
The two teams' last meeting at the Gold Cup was in 2017, when the USMNT won 2-0.
Costa Rica defeated both Suriname and the Dominican Republic in the group stage, scoring six goals combined across both matches. The USMNT went 3-0, winning all three of their matches in the opening stage of the competition – the seventh time overall that they won all of their Gold Cup group stage games. The USMNT has now topped their group in 17 of 18 Gold Cups.
