The Gunners suffered a fresh injury blow at the start of their trip to Anfield on Sunday as defender Saliba was forced to leave the pitch in the fifth minute of the match. Spanish defender Mosquera replaced the Frenchman in the Arsenal backline.

Arsenal are already missing a number of first team players for Sunday's Premier League clash against the champions. Captain Martin Odegaard, who travelled with the squad to Merseyside, started the game on the bench due to a shoulder injury that he suffered last week against Leeds. Star winger Bukayo Saka is also missing the clash after sustaining a hamstring injury last week. Kai Havertz, on the other hand, has been ruled out of action for a prolonged period due to a knee problem.
