Probable Lineups…
Newcastle United (4-2-3-1): Elliot, Janmaat, Coloccini, Dummett, Haidara, Colback, Abeid, Gouffran, Sissoko, S. Ameobi, Cisse
Newcastle United’s amazing five-game winning streak came to an end when the Magpies lost 1-0 to West Ham over the weekend, but managed to salvage a 1-1 draw against Burnley in midweek. Alan Pardew’s men subsequently dropped to ninth, tied on points with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Newcastle have some injury issues in defence when they host league leaders Chelsea this Saturday, with captain Fabricio Coloccini and goalkeeper Tim Krul sidelined for the clash.
Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Fabregas, Mikel, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Costa
Chelsea continued their unbeaten run by dismantling Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 in midweek, but only managed a point against Sunderland last Saturday. Yet the Blues remain six points ahead of second place Manchester City, and will be confident of getting another three against a patched up Newcastle United defence. The league leaders will, however, be without Nemanja Matic, who is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the Spurs clash. John Obi Mikel is expected to step in to play alongside Cesc Fabregas.
