Pogba banned for four yearsHas taken case to CAS Hopes to make returnWHAT HAPPENED?
Pogba was banned for four years in February after failing a doping test. He tested positive for the banned substance DHEA, which can naturally elevate testosterone levels. The France international has not kicked a ball since September 3, 2023, when he came on as a substitute against Empoli. His CAS appeal is scheduled to begin this week, however, and his ban could be overturned if he's cleared of any wrongdoing, which is why he has been continuing to train at home.

Per the Daily Mail, Pogba's camp have been offered hope by a ruling for Jannik Skinner, a tennis player. Sinner's doping ban was overturned, after his legal representatives successfully argued that his positive test was a result of contamination through his physiotherapist. There are similarities with Pogba's case, as he was allegedly prescribed a set of pills by an American firm leading up to his positive test.
WHAT POGBA SAID
Pogba shared a post on Instagram with pictures of himself training with a ball and swimming at his home, with the caption: "Time will give you the answer."

Pogba will desperately hope that his ban is indeed overturned. He turned 31 in March so still has time to resume his career if he receives the judgement he is hoping for. "I am still here, still positive, I have an opportunity to fight what in my view is an injustice," Pogba told in July. "I am not doing what I love, which is football, but I am really eager to get back. I am so eager, I feel like a kid who wants to be a professional.”
