The 22-year-old forward is currently in Spain enjoying a loan spell at Getafe. He has caught the eye since being cleared to resume a professional career that was put on hold in January 2022. Greenwood was cleared of attempted rape, assault and coercive and controlling behaviour charges in February 2023.

He has registered five goals and four assists for Getafe this season, bringing him to the attention of leading clubs in La Liga. With there seemingly no way back for Greenwood at Old Trafford, despite working on a contract until 2025, a permanent transfer is expected to be completed in the summer of 2024.
