Endrick came off the bench to help Madrid to a 5-2 extra-time win over Celta Vigo on Thursday in round 16 of the Copa del Rey. However, manager Ancelotti has suggested the 18-year-old may not start in their latest La Liga clash against Las Palmas, despite Vinicius Junior being suspended.

He told reporters: "He has options like everyone else, but the idea is to stick with what we know best. We have Brahim [Diaz] in good form, and [Kylian] Mbappé and Rodrygo are also performing very well. My perspective hasn’t changed; we can rely on him considering the learning curve an 18-year-old player from Brazil must navigate. He is progressing as we expected, is working hard, and is very professional. He is making the most of his minutes, showcasing his primary quality, which is scoring goals."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Endrick has made 17 appearances since making his Madrid debut last summer but just two of those have been in starting roles. The Brazilian is very highly-rated but there is a pecking order at Los Blancos and Ancelotti is deciding to ease the youngster in.
