Former Inter youth player Casadei is back in Serie A after struggling for game time at Chelsea, with Torino confirming his signing on Sunday. According to Ben Jacobs, the 22-year-old has joined for €15m (£12.5m/$15.5m) and there is a 25 percent sell-on clause for the Blues.

Casadei joined Chelsea in 2022 for a fee believed to be worth up to €20m (£16.7m/$20.7m) but he made just 17 first-team appearances. The Italy under-21 international has not been able to chalk up regular game time in Enzo Maresca's side and a parting of the ways seems the best course of action.

Casadei was sent out on loan to Reading during the 2022-23 Championship season and made 15 appearances, before playing 25 times on loan at Leicester City in the English second-tier the following campaign.
