But as far as the footballing aspect of the decade goes, there were some thrilling moments and even better players and teams around during that particular period.
And Jamie Carragher took it upon himself to come up with Liverpool’s team of the decade and shared his thoughts for Sky Sports.
Needless to say, the former Red included some big names into his gala XI but it’s quite difficult to please all of the fans and many of them were actually discussing two players that made the final cut: Jordan Henderson and Luis Suarez.
For the former, there was no doubt – he’s a true legend who absolutely has to be included…
The Uruguayan Pistolero was also heavily discussed and some of the fans believe he doesn’t really fit into the criteria and should be discarded for someone else.
But seeing how Suarez played a total of 133 games for the Reds and scored 82 goals while assisting further 47, it’s difficult to actually look past him and blatantly dismiss him as a potential striker of their decade.
