Manchester United legend Roy Keane slammed England players despite their comfortable win over Ireland on Saturday.

The Three Lions began their Nations League journey on Saturday with a comfortable win over Ireland. Declan Rice and Jack Grealish scored in in the first half to seal three points for their team in Dublin. While Ireland were simply no match for Lee Carsley's side, former United captain Keane slammed the visitors for their lacklustre show in the second half of the match.

While analysing the game, Keane pointed out that England had a stellar first half as they took a resounding lead. However, in the second half, he said they looked "arrogant" and lacked intensity in the attacking third.

WHAT ROY KEANE SAID

Speaking on , the pundit said: "The frustrating thing is for today is that Ireland were there for the taking. England dominated in the first half, we praised them, their decision-making, their quality in their movement.

"That was the opposite in the second half, I thought they were awful, they were playing for themselves, taking too many touches, try playing Roy of the Rovers passes. Keep doing the basics, suck Ireland out, but Ireland played with a lot of pride in the second half."

He added: "But as good as England were in the first half I thought they were just as bad in the second half, players playing for themselves, substitutions strolling off, a bit of arrogance. This team is there for the taking, especially because of the attacking players. If you are on that pitch you are thinking: 'I've got a chance to score a goal'."
